November 15, 2015--After and enxtended sabbatical, Andrew Kistler has returned as a full time member of The Owner of the White Sedan and the band has plans of releasing a surf rock album at Christmas time. This news is coming as a shock to many after Otis Heimer seemingly had replaced Kistler in the band and Jess Coughtry joining the Navy which put on hold the band's plan for a world tour.

Kistler was quoted as saying "My finnancial situation had nothing to do with the decision to rejoin the band!" This coming after rampant speculation among Sedan fans that this move was a ploy to sell more copies of the upcoming record. Sam McDonell said about the record "I'm hoping for this record to warm people up right around the holidays and make them think about the beach." 

 

After the complete flop of Off White, the band's second studio album and sebsequent documentary, the band is hoping for a fresh start in conjunction with lead singer Jess Coughtry joining the Navy in late 2014. Coughtry was interviewed by a local paper in Nevada where he is stationed and was quoted "The Owner of the White Sedan is a band."
