It is the explicit goal of the Music Production Association to educate students of Principia College in the techniques of recording, mixing and mastering of music and other recorded elements. Students are welcome to join the MPA with any level of previous experience inclunding those with no prior experience. The association is under the the consult of Darin Pierce who has over 20 years in the music industry where he ran live sound and made studio recordings. Jim Hegarty is the most experienced person on campus with recording as he spent many years in the corporate music recording business in a recording studio in Chicago.
